7-30-20 THOUGHTS

The words “to sum it up” always draw my attention.  I feel like I’m getting to the heart of the matter.  Let’s distill the key ideas...   The caps below from the NASB mean that it is an Old Testament quote, here, Psalms 34:12-16.  It speaks of the one who DESIRES LIFE!
This is one with a zest for life, the joy of living... one who has enthusiasm visible at all times.
This person is optimistic and productive,  BECAUSE SOMETHING RESIDES IN HIS HEART!  There is “FIRE IN THE BELLY!”
Verse 13 speaks of one who “PROVES ZEALOUS OF WHAT IS GOOD”.

1Pet 3:8-13      To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; 9  not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing. 10  For, "THE ONE WHO DESIRES LIFE, TO LOVE AND SEE GOOD DAYS, MUST KEEP HIS TONGUE FROM EVIL AND HIS LIPS FROM SPEAKING DECEIT. 11  "HE MUST TURN AWAY FROM EVIL AND DO GOOD; HE MUST SEEK PEACE AND PURSUE IT. 12  "FOR THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE TOWARD THE RIGHTEOUS, AND HIS EARS ATTEND TO THEIR PRAYER, BUT THE FACE OF THE LORD IS AGAINST THOSE WHO DO EVIL." 13  Who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good?

I want to be this person?  I’ve read of “professional INFLUENCERS” today.  It all seems so negative.  For money, these use technology to move minds in a direction.  It’s deceit as I see it!
In a more innocent context, the person we are considering is “AN INFLUENCER!”
In a text the other day, I told a person that they had more LIFE than most I know!  People around that person NATURALLY KNOW THEIR PRESENCE!  They want some of that LIFE!
Someone said...  “IF YOU’RE GOING TO BE THERE... BE THERE!”

My Prayer:
Lord, help us to live our lives fully as children who belong to you.  Revive a zest for living in each of us that comes from the life you give us!  Help us to see Christ always, and be propelled to live with purpose.  Teach us each day to be light to this world.
